Career Mentors
A diverse group of mentors from across departments offers career counselling and organises career guidance activities, helping students discover their strengths, widen their horizons, and build the skills to step into the workplace.

Career mentors help each department develop its own approach to career guidance, so that teaching, career priorities and industry needs line up with one another. Every NCU department has a career mentor whose work includes career counselling, internship guidance and career activities; students take up between 80 and 120 counselling sessions a year on average. Working with the Career Development Center, mentors arrange lectures, company visits, assessments, résumé reviews and mock interviews — some 50 to 70 events a year, drawing around 2,300 attendances. Through these conversations, students set clearer goals and find the motivation to pursue them.
